Our client is a fast-growing electrical automation company. A leader in providing electrical automation solutions, machinery rebuilding, turn-key systems, safety upgrades, panel building & design, and project management support.

 This role will be key in supporting that reputation by expanding market awareness of our expertise and relationships with customers.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Our client’s solutions are highly customized, innovative and technical. A critical part of the sales and marketing process involves communicating features and applications effectively, demonstrating expertise, and interacting with customers’ engineering teams to illustrate our solutions.  

 

The Candidate will be responsible for developing clear and effective electrical solutions for clients, effective written proposals/quotations, and to convey technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

 

 CORE FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Understand existing/potential customers products, capture their requirements, and prepare project proposals and contracts.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the information maintained, meetings attended, decisions taken, and other activities performed by the CEO
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
  • Master the art of communicating complex details in simplistic terms to our customers and partners
  • Researching options and requesting quotes for outsourced components of projects or custom products
  • Maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity
  • Working with the engineering, purchasing and production team to ensure schedules and deliveries are being met
  • Visit customer sites for job assessments, plans and estimation
  • Assists in maintaining appropriate timely ongoing communication with staff and customers

  • Strong technical skills - to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach) – experience with industrial processes and systems electrical Design

  • Ability to travel to customer sites
  • Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • 2-3 years Canadian experience in industrial control systems
